When Bianca gets marriage proposals, Baptisia doesn’t accept them in order to get Ketherine to marry first. In “The Taming of the Shrew” Baptista wants to find husbands for both his daughters. 10 Things I Hate About You” shows that even though Partrick was payed to date Kat, it all works out in the end. In the end, Paterick was paid to go out with Kat, allowing Bianca to date. While Binca gets many offers, no one wants to date Kat.

While both movies are set in a place called “Padua”, they are set in a different time period and even country. “10 Things I Hate About You” is a better film because it connects more with the High School audience with the characters being younger. While their names are different, the characters in both movies have a similar set up in plot and relationships. In “10 Things I Hate About You”, there is Patrick who falls in love with Kat, and Cameron who falls in love with Kat’s younger sister Bianca. In “The Taming of the Shrew”, the main characters include Petruchio who want to marry Katherine, and Lucentio who loves Katherine’s younger sister Bianca. There are many similarities and many differences between the two stories, but ultimately “10 Things I Hate About You” is a better film. He has produced several iconic plays that are still taught today.
